Shoelace stand-up
Also known as Shoelace Heist Reversal — the canonical term used on this site.
Standing up from the shoelace control
Shoelace stand-up is a descriptive name for the shoelace heist reversal — naming the stand-up driven by the shoelace foot grip.
Etymology. “Shoelace” names the grip on the opponent’s foot; “stand-up” names the rise to top. The label combines the controlling grip with the standing action that completes the reversal.
Mechanics. Holding the shoelace grip, the bottom player uses hip mobility to come up the entangled leg: shifting the hips and elevating off the controlled foot lets them rise to top while the grip keeps the opponent’s leg out of position, so they stand into the dominant angle rather than being swept along the mat.
Cross-reference. “Shoelace sweep” and “SLX stand-up” are sibling aliases. Full mechanical coverage on Shoelace Heist Reversal.
