Two-on-one arm control from butterfly
Two-on-one butterfly is a descriptive name for the butterfly arm drag sweep — naming the two-on-one arm grip that drives the drag from butterfly guard.
Etymology. “Two-on-one” counts both of the bottom player’s hands on one of the opponent’s arms; “butterfly” names the guard. The label foregrounds the grip that powers the drag over the drag itself.
Mechanics. The posting hands on the trapped arm create the offensive opening: with two hands controlling one, the bottom player can drag the arm across and load the butterfly hook without the opponent posting free, converting the grip into the off-balance that sweeps them.
Cross-reference. “Arm drag from butterfly” and “Drag sweep” are sibling aliases. Full mechanical coverage on Butterfly Arm Drag Sweep.
