Over-under body lock
Also known as Over-Under Pass — the canonical term used on this site.
Names the body-lock finish of the over-under
Over-under body lock is a descriptive name for the over-under pass — naming the body-lock grip the over-under control can clasp into as it finishes.
Etymology. “Over-under” names the arm configuration, one arm over a leg and one under the other; “body lock” names the clasp it can close into near the end. The compound foregrounds the locking grip that secures the pass.
Mechanics. The over-under control carries directly into the pin: the same grip that splits and stacks the legs closes into the body lock that holds the finished position, so passing and pinning are a single continuous task rather than two separate phases.
