Crab Ride

Also known as Truck / Crab Ride — the canonical term used on this site.

Wrestling-derived — crab-shape ride control

Crab Ride is the wrestling-derived name for the truck position — the leg-control configuration in which the attacker’s body and legs form a crab-like shape over the bottom player from a sideways angle.

Etymology. “Crab” references the crab-like geometry of the attacker’s splayed-leg posture; “Ride” attaches the top-position-control category. The compound predominates in folkstyle-wrestling-adjacent vocabulary; “truck” is the 10th Planet–system canonical name.

Mechanics. The crab-ride leg-and-body configuration commits the attacker into the position from which leg-attacks and back-take entries flow — the truck position is the structural setup for the twister submission.

Cross-reference. “Truck Position,” “Truck Control,” and “Crab Hook” are alternate names. Full mechanical coverage on Truck.
