Two-on-one shins

Also known as Double Shin Guard Sweep — the canonical term used on this site.

Two shins under, controlling the legs

Two-on-one shins is a descriptive name for the double shin guard sweep — naming the two shins the bottom player places against the opponent’s legs.

Etymology. “Two-on-one shins” borrows the wrestling “two-on-one” count and applies it to the shins, both braced on the opponent. The label foregrounds the doubled shin contact that controls the legs.

Mechanics. Both shins under the opponent destabilise them by removing the base: extending the shins lifts and tips the opponent off their support, and the off-balance is what reverses the position, the bottom player following the tilt up to the top.

Cross-reference. “Double shin guard” is a sibling alias. Full mechanical coverage on Double Shin Guard Sweep.
