Turtle short choke

Turtle short choke names the front-headlock version of the short choke by its platform: taken beside a turtled opponent rather than from back control.
Etymology. Naming the platform is how coaches separate this from the back version, because the strangle itself is identical and the entry is the whole difference.
Mechanics. The far side is controlled before the neck is touched — that ordering is what converts a reachable neck into a strangleable one. One arm wraps in the bent configuration while the other does the job the hooks do from the back, which is why an attacker who tries to squeeze with both arms leaks the position.
