Inside leg is a descriptive name for the high crotch — naming the attack by its line, up the inside of the opponent’s leg.
Etymology. “Inside leg” describes the high crotch’s path: the head and arm penetrate up the inside of the thigh rather than tackling from outside. The label names the technique by that inside line, distinguishing it from an outside single.
Mechanics. Penetrating up the inside leg requires a level change first — dropping under the opponent’s hips so the inside entry passes beneath their base rather than into it; without the level change the attacker drives into the thigh at the wrong height and the entry stalls.
