Inside Leg Thread
Also known as Twister Hook — the canonical term used on this site.
Training background: Descriptive anatomical name
Descriptive — inside-thread leg-hook variant
Inside Leg Thread is the descriptive name for the twister hook — flagging the inside-thread leg-placement mechanic that defines the configuration’s connection to the opponent’s far thigh.
Etymology. “Inside leg thread” specifies the leg-placement geometry: the attacker’s leg threads between the opponent’s legs from the inside line. “Twister hook” is the canonical 10th Planet–vocabulary name. Both labels describe the same configuration.
Mechanics. The threaded leg limits the bottom player’s rotational escape from back position by segmenting the lower body from the rotation.
Cross-reference. “Twister hook” and “Crab Ride Hook” are alternate names. Full mechanical coverage on Twister Hook.
