Forearm-wrap heel hook escape is the descriptive name for Junny lock defence, naming the grip variation that distinguishes it from a standard inside heel hook.
Etymology. “Forearm-wrap” replaces “palm-to-palm” in the name because that substitution is the entire technical difference. The target is unchanged — the medial knee, loaded by internal tibial rotation — and only the surface applying it differs.
Mechanics. The wrap exists precisely to finish through the heel jam that stops a palm-to-palm grip, so heel-hiding alone is insufficient by design. The correct early answer is one level up: contest the configuration and the knee line, and treat the boot as time bought rather than as the defence.
