Arm weave pass
Also known as Leg Weave Pass — the canonical term used on this site.
Training background: Alternative description — refers to the arm threading through the legs
Names the pass by the weaving arm
Arm weave pass is a descriptive name for the leg weave pass — naming the technique by the weaving arm rather than the legs it threads through.
Etymology. “Arm weave” foregrounds the passer’s threading arm; “pass” attaches the objective. The label describes the same weave from the active limb’s perspective, where “leg weave” names it from the target’s.
Mechanics. The woven arm wins inside position on the opponent’s legs, and inside position controls the outside: from the inside line the passer dictates where the bundled legs go, steering them out of the way rather than fighting them from outside.
Cross-reference. “Leg weave” is a sibling alias. Full mechanical coverage on Leg Weave Pass.
